Description: The purpose of the Aggregate Resources Inventory Program is to provide the basic geological information required to include potential mineral aggregate resource areas in planning strategies. The aim is to assist decision-makers in protecting the public well being by ensuring that adequate resources of mineral aggregate remain available for future use. Aggregate Resources Inventory Papers (ARIP) are technical background documents based, for the most part, on geological information and interpretation. They have been designed as a component of the total land-use planning process and should be used in conjunction with other planning considerations, to ensure the best use of an area’s resources. The objective of this product is to collect and disseminate geoscience information for Ontario.
